In this POLHN self-paced program, you will learn what is physical activity and how it helps in improving the health of individuals and communities. The course also covers different age-related guidelines and provides information on intensity of the physical activity training for different age brackets.

POLHN is working in association with WHO to deliver online fitness training program free for nurses who holds degree of Bachelors in nursing.

  • How you can promote and plan physical activity with respect to common framework within healthcare settings.
  • Prevention and reduction of non communicable diseases.


Module 1 is basically designed to understand the term "Physical Activity". The aim is to motivate people increase their activities which can mobilize their body muscles so that they can lead a healthy life. This module also presents some useful statistics about NCDs in adults and children.  
Module 2 focuses on the recommendations developed by relevant health professionals. There are detailed guidelines for adults and children with different age groups. You will also learn the intensity of physical activity.
In module 3, we will discuss those individuals which are at different risk levels in terms of physical activity. We will also going to discuss the intensity of physical activity for these individuals.
Module 4 explores the domains of physical activity. You will also study, how to promote and plan physical activity by using common framework for different domains.
